How much wattage do I need? (Need Help FAST)

I am just curious, I am getting Crossfire Radeon HD 7950. It says minimum wattage 850W, does this mean that I have to have a total of 850W power supply? Or does this mean that I have to get 850W for the GPU and another 200W for my CPU so the total would be 1050W? Someone please answer this soon! I have a friend buying me PSU tomorow so I need to know. Thanks!

it means it recommends an 850W PSU

Those cards only draw around 100W under load, just make sure your psu has enough to deliver 250W on the 12V rail

They always include a higher wattage than is actually needed to account for the lower quality PSUs out there. 700W is recommended by Guru3D and Realhardtechx.
