How much watts do I need ?

Whether to get the bronze or the gold all stems down to: what do you do with your computer? Turn it on only when you need it? Or run it 24/7?

First up the 750w target is right on assuming you're not going to overclock anything. With a rough 500w load at full tilt, you're right in the efficiency sweet spot (50-75% of peak power).

As for Bronze vs Gold. If you leave the computer on 24/7 then efficiency matters a lot more. Saving 10w per hour every day for a few years will add up eventually (but slowly), so if the amount you save over the expected lifespan is greater than the cost difference between the bronze and the gold, then go for the gold PSU.

Also, because gold rated PSUs are more efficient, they generate less heat. This in turn means slower fans (if they made it a 'semi-passive' PSU), and parts last longer with cooler temps, and the machine is quieter as well.

The price you're paying for the PSU is very reasonable, so there's not much reason to change it unless there's a very significant difference in price.

Meanwhile, if you're going to turn it on, game the hell out of it, then turn it off, at that point efficiency doesn't mean as much and the bronze would be fine. It might be a bit noisier though, although you'd have to read the reviews to find out for sure how it fares compared to the gold with the sound level tests.

Overall, nice build.

If you're going to OC, then leave the 750w. CPU overclocking usually winds up adding about 30w to the total power draw, so you're still good. I would NOT drop to the 650 if you're going to start OC'ing things. Power usage goes UP (exponentially!) when you OC, so why in the world would you want to DROP wattage capacity?!?

THINK MAN! THINK! :) :) :)
