Ok guys this is just an exploratory question so no suggestions on alternative (more expensive) options no matter now small the price jump is. My cousin has an old dell from that has a geforce 6200 in it and some athlon cpu from around that time.
I recently did some upgrades and I have an asus p8b75-v 1155 board and an msi 7870 twin frozr left over and i plan to buy the rest of the parts needed for a new rig and give it to him. The cpu I plan to put in it the celeron g1630 (eww celeron, yea I know). I know it will bottleneck the 7870, but can anybody tell me how much?
I know games will be playable, as we played L4D over the net on his current rig so I know the celeron kills that, but I want to at least give him an idea of what kinda frames he can expect at resolution at 720p all the way up to 1080p
