looking to upgrade from my current Xeon e3 1230-v5 with an msi e3 krait gaming v5 motherboard, problem is i have no idea how much the cpu and motherboard are worth as i cant find them anywhere online

In the UK there are a few listed on ebay for £150, however being listed for and selling for are different things.

The best thing i could suggest you do is put the combo on ebay with a reserve you are comfortable with, say $100, if it goes for more great if doesn't sell then drop the reserve.
