850w psu would be enough. I run an i7 4930k and R9 295x2 with the cooler master v850 and it is extremely quiet as well.

You're comparing your power use for a 130 watt i7 to an AMD 8 core 220 watt CPU? That and a video card that can pull more than 60 amps by itself? Just because you do it does not make it a good idea. A little headroom never hurts.
