Hi,
I don't want to be like one of those guys on eBay looking for more than their fully built computer was worth but I don't want to give it away for $50 bucks.
I got into computer building last year and I built the end of last summer. It works and everything but when I parted out the system I never thought about future upgrading, which is obviously very bad on my part so now that Ryzen has been out for a while I would like to upgrade to it.

Thanks,
Joey

P.S. not with monitor

Solution
It's still a decent system but if you need better performance you could update the BIOS, sell the 6500 and get a 7700, sell the RAM and buy a 2x8gb set, put a SSD into the build for at least the OS and depending on if you want to upgrade the GPU you may want to get a better PSU. Depending on how much you want to spend you could really turn this system into quite the beast.

But without going further, what issues are you having that you want to upgrade? A simple GPU, SSD & maybe RAM upgrade should be enough for that monitor or even 1080P/60hz gaming.
I would sell everything but your motherboard, your ram, all your peripherals, and maybe your cpu. It's still an LGA 1151 socket, so it's still pretty darn upgradeable. I'm too lazy to give a price so I'll hand it to someone else.

When selling used goods of any kind I'm a firm believe in selling them for 50-70 percent(depends on demand) of their original price if its a mass manufactured thing like electronics. Be careful when you are looking at new item prices especially on new older GPUs like your 750, the prices may still be high due to sellers trying to still get the top price for a old card on unsuspecting buyers. Your GPU is probably worth like 80-100 bucks at most, the RAM you could probably get 40 or 50 for maybe 60 but doubt it.

The one thing that's going to be hard to get any thing for really is your PSU simply because I think most people don't want to risk it.

Not counting OS, around $300-$350 if you can get someone to buy the wifi card and keyboard. Nothing in that build is high end. I don't mean to be rude, but everything in that build is low end. You aren't going to get $600+ if you were hoping for that.
