Hello, I really want my temps to be lower to get the most time with my CPU, so at the moment I have it ay 4.2GHz although I can get it to 4.8GHz with 79Degress.

But that isn't my question.

My question is, How noticeable is are the differences between the following:

3.0GHz - 3.5GHz - 4GHz - 4.5GHz - 5GHz?

Will I notice any significant slow down going from my 4.8GHz down to a 4.2GHz?

Solution
Maybe not SIGNAFICANT, but you will notice some little differences in gaming like a 4-5 FPS boost. And 3.0 GHz - 4.0GHz is the same, you will not see a HUGE difference but you will see something. Now the difference between 3.5 GHz and 5.0GHz is pretty big. You will see about 10-12 maybe more FPS change. And its best to keep your CPU under 72.2 Degrees Celsius.
So no its not worth heating your CPU up to get to a slight change.
Good Luck 😀

Not really, a .5GHz change is never THAT big of a change even before and after 4.0. 1 is pretty noticeable and 1.5+ is really noticeable. But just make sure your CPU is always under 72.2C so that it can live as long as it is supposed to live.

To be honest it really depends on the exact CPU, try to give me the exact CPU model and such.

An educated guess however is that the 4 core will run better than the 6 core, just because there's a good chance it will be able to run a single core faster than the 6 core. Just a guess though.

How much FPS loss from 4.0 to 3.5 ghz? What's your best estimate?

Depends, are you downclocking an overclocked chip, or are you downclocking the stock chip?

I was just checking how much fps I will lose from those GHz. It's actually 3.5-4.0 Turbo. I was wondering how much fps I will lose when my CPU gets hot and when it reaches 3.5GHz.

Well, I would say about as much as you would gain from .5GHz.
