I want to download a virtual box to test viruses and phishing links I've received on Steam but before I do so I'd like to know how often a virus manages to travel from a virtual box into the host PC.
If you CPU supports virtualization, it shouldn't get out. Well as long as don't share file systems. EG, don't make your C-drive available to the virtual box, just let virtual box deal with it's virtual file system.

Do I have to worry about it automatically being set to my host drives or would that be something that I would have to enable?
