How powerful are the integrated graphics on the Haswell processors?

I've been trying to find information on this, but no luck. I have two questions:
1. Does the iGPU get more powerful as the CPU gets more powerful, or will an i7 have the same graphical capabilites as a Celeron?
2. What GPU could the iGPU on a high-end Pentium/low-end i3 be compared to?

*edit: The reason I'm not getting a GPU is that I don't need a lot of performance right now, but in a few years I'd like to be able to pop in a 970 and have a serious gaming PC.

They get better as they go on. It depends what CPU you have for the better graphics. Some Celerons have the worst, but some i7 and Xeon chips also have the worst. For they best IGraphics, you would want these chips:

its not like Celeron and i7 will have same graphics capabilities
such as i5 4440 and the i7 4770K have same graphics capabilities but there if difference in performance
GPU gets powerful with the gen of processors
of course i3's GPU would be better

Hi,
If you plan to do any sort of gaming at all you just go for a GPU, on-board Intel graphics are great for low graphics intensive games, but if you plan to do anything above that, even a cheap GPU would be better that the on-board graphics.
