[SOLVED] How powerful GPU do I need for 2k 144Hz gaming?

My specs are in signiture, what do I need to get to stay about 120 fps at 2k?

I will wait for 3000 Nvidia series but still don't know if 2070 or 2080 is a must

Ok I’m using a 2080 Super at 1440p. If I use my current game as an example COD MW I average 120-130fps using high settings, not ultra and with Ray Tracing off. If I start pushing up settings to ultra it drops to 100-115 depending on the map. Gears 5 I have played a lot less but that was similar results from memory. A lot will come down to what settings you want to run.

Always get the fastest GPU you can afford. Just as an FYI, unless you can get it for less, than a 2070 super, don't get the 2080. A 2080 super, though, would be a solid choice.
