How reliable is Driver Navigator?

I apparently have the Driver Navigator software installed. I usually do not have any manager other than what is absolutely necessary, automatically scan my system. I much prefer to manually request the scan. However, this thing popped up by itself automatically this morning after I turned my pc on.

I've not done anything with it so wish to find out how reliable and reputable this software is. Can anyone tell me anything about this?

if you did not install it I would remove it immediately and run virus scans. there's no need for any sort of driver scanner. its far better to get updates form the manufacturer

Is this common for software to mysteriously show up on your computer? You may have some malware or virus infection on your pc.

I don't remember installing it but have had some work done on it recently so it might have been done by my tech. I'll call him and find out. Easy to reinstall if necessary, but I have removed it for now. Fortunately, it did not install anything, just popped up the information that I had some new drivers available for download/install.

Wish I knew more than I do but at least I know to leave well enough alone until I find out about it. Did a scan this morning and did not find any malware or viruses on my pc...so all is good there. Otherwise, nothing else seems to have been changed.

drivers are free all you have to do is go to the companys site click on the download link and select the product you need a driver for and down load it. most even will scan your pc for their products and reccomends updates.
