[SOLVED] How should i route?

So i need to get internet access on a new pc in a room thats about 15 meters out from the modem. I'd like to avoid having a huge cable going from one end of the house to the other.
Whats the best way of going about it? Is there like a modem extension i could get so that i can connect to it with a cable much closer to where the pc is located?
I can not stress enough how much of a newbie i am at this.

Use WiFi, Powerline networking or run the cable through jacks in the walls.

The most newbie friendly solution I can think of is powerline units. Plug a cable from the modem to a powerline unit, plug another powerline unit where the computer is, plug a cable from that powerline unit to the computer and it will either work or it won't.

Overall the general networking information will be helpful no matter what connectivity option you end up using. Good chance that you will eventually end up with some combination: wired (all ethernet), wired with powerline, or wireless.

Or pay a professional to run the cable in the walls, in the attic or basement. It will then be invisible, but you will have the best possible network.
