how should i upgrade

i have an AMD c-60 1.00 GHz processor, 2 gigs of ram only 1.60 is usable, and 500 gig hard drive i tend to have multiple applications running at once and it gets slow and i'd like to know what piece of hardware should i upgrade

p.s. funds are limited and i have a compaq cq58 laptop

Adding more RAM will most definitely help. Using <2gb in a Windows 7/8 is not going to make for a good user experience at all.

Then ya, just buy more RAM. Buy 4GB you'd be good to go.
