How should I upgrade?

I was just wanting a few opinions on what I should buy to upgrade my PC. Kind of a novice when it comes to this. Anyways I know I need a new motherboard and considering a new CPU, possibly GPU?
My current build is:
CPU - Intel i5-3570k 3.4GHz
MOBO - AsRock Z77 Exreme4
GPU - EVGA GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB
RAM - Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600
PSU - Firepower modxstream pro 700mxsp.

What motherboards should I consider? I'm torn if I should stick with my i5 or upgrade to a relatively cheap i7. I was also thinking about getting a GTX 770 possibly. What should I do? Don't have too much money to spend.

You do not need a new motherboard and CPU; those should be good for quite a while yet. Depending on your budget, a GTX970 or GTX980 would be substantial upgrades. If you don't have a SSD, adding a 250-256GB SSD won't help your frame rates, but will make applications a lot snappier and decrease startup, shutdown, and level-load times considerably.

I don't think the CPU upgrade will offer you noticeable performance gains.
The best upgrade would be the Graphics card (GTX 970 - Very Good Card).
Also, if you haven't done so yet, buy an SSD (I have a Crucial MX500).
SSD's will make your system boot quicker and run more responsively overall.

I was looking at the 970, looked pretty awesome just haven't decided if I have the money to jump that high. And I do need a motherboard because there is something wrong and I can only use one slot of RAM. Maybe I ought to just buy the same motherboard
