Hello all.

I recently got a PC and my brother brought a logitech subwoofer 300w with speakers from a friend really cheap. And now i am really scary becouse of vibrations can mess up pc components and then i can't play and do what i like with pc... the sub is not really big maybe 11 inch in all sides. It is far about 15 inch from pc case. The case is covered with a wooden desk. So does it affect the computer componets like hdd, fans, cpu fan, motherboard, video card and other? I think yes.. 🙁 So maybe 30inch from pc would be safer? becouse room is not really big, and the sub cable is not long enought to put it really far away. So where should he put sub? (meters would be better)

Solution
it shouldnt affect anything. unless you get a sympathetic vibration which is very unlikely, even then its only gonna affect something like the perspex side cover which you can then stick a bit of foam to, to dampen it.
the magnet in the speaker shouldnt affect any magnetic storage for the same reason. it just doesnt cause the speaker vibrate at a high enough frequency to cause damage...

so if your worried about vibrations traveling through the desk to the pc dont, just put it on a rubber mat/mouse mat and you will be fine.
