How the sound recorder works?

I don't know how our voice or music or video are recorded in mobiles,tape recorder etc how these things are sent to the storage device?
and how they will be recorded?
and how they will be reproduced?

Yeah, i wonder how the Muggles do it as well.

Then I found out this site call Wikipedia, its almost magical, with all the information you need.
