I have used AI Suite 3's 4 way optimization and that has bumped the turbo to 4.2 Ghz... However there are so many options and things to do in the BIOS that I don't know where to begin ! I want to get a stable OC stuck at a frequency ( and IGPU OC) on Air cooling and I really need as much help as possible.

+ my 3TB HDD needs to be sorted in disk management.. However it has sectioned 2 parts off... One part is about 2TB and the other is 746 GB and I cannot join them together and it only allows me to set a "new simple volume" on the 2 TB space...

Asus MAXIMUS VI EXTREME
4770K
16GB 1600MHz corsair
Samsung 840 SSD

UPDATE : I tried to run AIDA 64 Extreme trial version with a multiplier of 44 and CPU Cache at 44 with a voltage of 1.3v... in the test i can stress the CPU alone but when I selected FPU, Cache and memory I got a BSOD.. Yes I don't know what I'm doing xD

Oh dear gods.... you summoned Beelzebub himself....

I cannot say this enough - OC software is horribly unreliable, known to cause registry issues, known to not efficiently OC. PLEASE avoid. Not sure how i missed this the first time tbh... But that was the point of giving you the guide.

As far as your HD - you can try a program like partition magic to reset - dump partitions and rebuild. But i fear you might have a failing cache or actuator. This can also happen if it has recently been bumped or gotten too hot. Try unplugging the HD for a few hours and let it completely cool -internals too hence the time frame. SOMETIMES can solve. Fire back up and get in bios screen. If you here the clunking while in bios you have a hd...

He doesn't say how to stop the frequency from staying at the set amount, my 4770k is going from 3.5 to 4.4 atm

I reset everything and let AI suite 3 take over, set it to 4.4 with 1.25V at 50 degrees with 60% fan power, however the Hard disk problem seems serious, I can only seem to use 2TB in disk management and now I can hear a clunking sound every 1-2 seconds, have changed cables and still makes noise, I fear a bust HDD HELPPPP

Solution

I know people have had bad experiences but I managed to do a stability test and play games on it with ease, still no BSODS or anything so I think I MAY be ok... and I changed cables, during boot it was ok.. some clunking maybe during a load, but once I opened HW monitor CPUID clunking began again... May send it back... and it's cool to te touch + In front of an intake fan
