How to access files when you cant open them?

Hello,

I'm trying to open some photo files from a family picnic, but can't. When I conduct a search, I can see the files, but can't open them. What can I do to be able to open these files?

What is the error message?

Can you drag-and-drop them to another folder?

Are they JPG files?

Are you using Windows?
Can you right-click on them and select "Open with..." and then select the appropriate program. Either windows Paint of image viewer?

Install irfanview. Let it tie itself to all image files. Try to open one of the files.
