I have a damaged Dell Latitude E6410 laptop that works in every respect, save for the Screen, which I damaged while collapsing the device for storage in its case while in transiti to my next location. It seems that I'd forgotten that I'd left a memory chip or card of some type "floating " on he base of the laptop and it just blended in. I was bummed out when I opened "her" up to resume my work down the road.
This is a few months late rand I've long since purchased a new device, its an Acer Cloud book, an Aspire One. I had already picked up an HDMI to (what I thought was a USB type 2) a USB type c. I also had from previous needs, an HDMI to HDMI cable so that I could play Dragon Age Origins on the HUMONGOUS screen at the hotel (best game ever). Sadly, it seems, at this late date I'm only now learning that my Dell Latitude does not possess an HDMI port, and on the flip side, the other end of my adapter is not a USB type 2,moreover it isn't even a USB micro adapter but a USB type "C".
To the point, I truly desire to continue to use my Dell Laptop by merely projecting to another screen with the use of a physical cable. I'm frustrated that what I'd assumed to have been a "no-brainer" has turned out to be such a tedium. Incidentally, I have a temporary budget that wont allow for any expenses like bringing the laptop " in for repairs". .I have what I believe to be all manner of cables and cords( from scrapping out discarded units; I like to "see what their innards look like" Can I "Frankenstein" myself up my own adaptor from my junk? perhaps a serial to HDMI, or USB2 to USB2, maybe?
This is a distress beacon, please respond!
