How to activate wifi on HP 17-F050SM

Greetings kind people!
Yet again I find myself in need of your magnanimous assistance; My sister recently reset her windows 7, so yet again she is having problems with the wifi, namely, there is no icon of it in the bottom right corner. Since she lives on the other side of our country I cant help her directly, so I was wondering if you, the stupendously skilled masters of hardware and software supreme, could post all the possible or exact options to activate the wifi icon for the above mentioned model, or if there is a process to go trough in the control panel.

First ensure that WiFi is actually turned on (this could be a sliding switch, a button, or a combo key on the keyboard).

Then, if necessary, install the wireless network driver from the HP website:
