How to add more hard drives than available SATA ports?

So i have an old MoBo and the new shiny 1060 6gb blocks half of it's SATA ports. There is no way to get a cable in there, not an angled one, not anything. So i basicly have 2 slots and would need at least 1, or maybe 2 more HDDs to add . . .or an SSD but that's besides the point.

Does anyone know of an extension or like a splitter, i don't know, that will help me add an additional drive in my rig?

as i noted there is also pci cards if you have one of those open to use. unless you're using a mini-itx or other super small mobo there pretty much has to be some kind of open slots to use. i can't think of an atx board that a single card would cover most of the sata ports and all the extra slots as well. just not physically possible unless the gpu is a quad-slot width!!!
I've just spent an hour searching some pcie extensions for SATA . . . and want to know what i just noticed? the 1060 is blocking the remaining god damn pci slots on my MoBo too . . . .jesus f-ing christ..... that's it, a new MoBo is in my future...
