How to add more ram to my amd a8-6600k

How can I add more memory to my apu!
I have 8gigs ram 1600mhz. And a windows 7 64bit! And an msi a75fm2-m mobo

Do you have single stick of ram or 2?

Most people don't need much more than 8Gb of ram but you could probably benefit from it since you have an APU.

It looks like that MoBo only has 2 dimm slots so you're probably going to be looking for an 16Gb kit in 1866Mhz

This is a good example. I have 8Gb of 1866Mhz GSkill in my PC right now and it's great ram. Will easily OC to 2133Mhz too if you want to try it. The APU can benefit from the faster ram speeds.

So you're going to have to swap them out then. If you had 1x8Gb stick you could have at least bought a second module (if you could find one with similar timings)

Add more ram to your system. The APU runs off the same ram.

Check your BIOS. There might be an option to increase memory for graphics adapter in the BIOS.

Is it Frame Buffer Size?

On your board it may be. Give it a try.

Different boards manufacturer's give it different names and I can't find anything for the board you listed "msi a75fm2-m"

Once you change it try to check the amount of memory usable in Windows.
