How to allocate more video memory in bios

Hello,
I just reinstalled 2 gig with my Gateway netbook LT2082u. The allocated video memory in bios is just 8mb, the option is greyed out so I can't change it. Is there a way to re flash my bios for this netbook? and will it allow me to change the allocated memory after re-flashing?

That option is just for booting and compatibility (when you don't have the driver installed). Once the Windows driver kicks in, the video driver uses much more RAM, so don't worry.
