I'm trying to have the PC automatically boot at a specific time everyday, in order to do all windows updates (along with necessary restarts), and then automatically shutdown. This way I'll never feel the PC being updated during normal use hours. Any ideas? Task scheduler, etc?

i think the only way to auto start is if you leave PC in sleep mode. The posts linked here might help: http://www.howtogeek.com/204742/how-to-make-any-computer-boot-up-or-shut-down-on-a-schedule/

auto update easier as you can set windows update to look at specific times

What about shutting down?

How can windows autologin with the correct credentials to update, and then perform necessary restarts, and then shutdown after all is said and done?
