How to automaticly shut down a linux machine

i have a prety bad server that consists of many old pices of hardware throwen together, but that is beside the point, i have mineos running a tekkit server and i want the computer to shut down at a spesific time every night and i can turn it on to come on every morning in the bios. does anyone know of such software that will shut my machine down without me having to press anything?

You should be able to use the shutdown command and specify the time in hh:mm format.

Also need a -h parameter to do a full shutdown.

The script would be started with the machine and run in the background until shutdown time.

I would prefer for this to be automated so it does it every night without me having to do anything

The script /batch file would be part of the startup routine in the morning.

Then when the system time reaches your intended shutdown time hh:mm then the system turns off.

Is a one time thing. You create the script, after one reboot, everything is automatic.

Since MineOS is (Debian) Linux, you can put appropriate "shutdown" command as a cron task.
