How to backup and recover a partition on DOS ?

I want to backup a partition of HDD on Windows and recover it on DOS , Any help ?

I assume you have good reason for your intended objective but would you mind sharing it with us?

Anyway, is there any reason you would not want to clone the partition you desire backed-up to another internally or externally connected drive in your system?
