How to backup BIOS?

Hello. I would like to know how to backup my current BIOS. I googled it but i found instructions i didn't fully understand. I need to update BIOS to eliminate some problems with CPU fan. I read that it is good to back up your BIOS in case something goes wrong while updating.

You could backup the BIOS but if the update fails it fails (you can't restore; you have to move the BIOS chip to another board and flash it there)
BTW I've updated the BIOSes at least 30 times and never ran into any issues.
