How to 'bond' modems

Tom & his moderators may get a bit mad(cuz I posted, but para-phrased this in the networking forums), but I need exposure for this question. Has anybody have any idea of where a FAQ is in regards to 'bonding ' 2 modems to act as 1, or has anybody done it with success ?? I am ignorant of how it is done, and have many '?'s, hence the request for a FAQ

There used to be "shotgun" modems like you describe, 2 on 1 card. I believe you can probably achieve similar results simply by creating 2 connections for the 2 modems and bridging those connections in XP, but I've never tried.
