Hello,

I got new subscribe to ISP.. and they gift me modem FLTE(not LTE), when the tested the speed on first time..it reach 50 mb/s on speed test, and it's up to 7 mb/s upload(i know not good).
but the problem when I download a file. the speed is not stable, it's up and down(up to 7 megabytes and then down to 100 kilobytes..) the signal is so poor(it's from 6 stars and i only get 2-3 stars (How can i Improve it) also the signal don't reach all corner in my home how to make the range better?

Solution

Your router is the epicenter of a theoretical "bubble." It's surface (range) is distorted by objects around it, and the distortion is amplified by a combination of the objects' density and physical composition.

Theoretically, the best way to fit your whole house inside the buble is to place the bubble in the center of the house. By doing this, you may decrease the quality in the one room with an immaculate signal, but also decreasing...
50/7 is a pretty solid rate in most countries

you can log into your router and change the channel. try 1, 5, 9, 13 if one of these give you more stability
if there's any setting with Power Save or Change Save (basically any save) or OBSS, disable it.

if all that doesn't help, get an extender

Thanks you for your reply..
can you tell me how to use that extender, and if you prefer a good one support online gaming/streaming..?

Center of the house?

why i should but it there and if there is no good cover(good signal) besides the window?

I tried a lot but i can't figure out best place for this router..

Theoretically, the best way to fit your whole house inside the buble is to place the bubble in the center of the house. By doing this, you may decrease the quality in the one room with an immaculate signal, but also decreasing the number of walls and/or objects the bubble has to penetrate in order to reach everywhere else.

Also, there are ac powered signal boosters that connect with your coax cables. They're useful for amplifying the signal where quality is lost from splitting or branching off too much. Connect your modem as close to the main coax as you can. This won't help your signal, but it will significantly increase the internet speed that signal carries within.

A device that would be most useful for literally increasing the range (bubble size) is a "wifi extender," also known as a "repeater." It siphens internet from your main bubble and creates a smaller secondary bubble. With this, you move the router to one end of the house, like you described, then plug the wireless extender in somewhere closer to areas with little to no signal.. but still within the bubble. A double bubble..
