I want to be able to use my mobile device anywhere in my house, but having walls in between me and the router slows the internet speed to the point where i can't even stream a 720p video. I can't find a position where the router can "see" every part of my house, so is there someting I can to do to boost my WiFi signal, even when there are wall(s) in the way?

Your best bet is to likely just not use wifi and use something like powerline.

First many routers transmit at the legal maximum so you likely are getting the max that you can get. But lets say you can find some magic device that will let you blast a really strong signal though the wall. A wireless connection is not like a tv station where you are only receiving data. The end device must communicate back. In many cases it is the end device and not the router that is causing the problem. Things like cell phones tend to not transmit at maximum power to conserve battery. There is no simple solution for this because these device have made the trade off of small and portable compared to performance.

I would look at powerline devices and connect a router/ap in the remote room to provide wireless if needed. They also make powerline units with wireless AP in the units.
