I just recently installed windows 7 on an SSD.
I went into bios and set the ssd as the first in boot priority.
However, when I turn my computer on, it follows this sequence.

Shows the screen that has options such as enter bios.
Shows a screen that says Marvel controller, which I believe is the SATA controller.
In this screen, it says things like SSD, and my HDD and it says press space to continue.
I normally dont press space and then the screen is folllowed by...
Shows the same screen that has options such as enter bios.
Loads my desktop.

Is there a way to make my computer boot faster, say from the bios option straight to desktop?

Solution
In the BIOS, there should be a setting like "Quite boot", "Quick boot", "Display summary info" and things like that. Check your motherboard manual, usually all the settings are listed here.

You will also speed boot if you don't shutdown Windows, but hibernate it.
