Greetings. In the near future i might buy a PC, but the thing is i dont really have that much money to buy a pc that has good components, and so i thought i should build it myself. Sadly i dont know how to start and how. I dont know what other cables and stuff are needed. I have a lil bit of knowledge on Desktops, but i could say that i do only on very old ones i guess. Ive been using the same pc for 7 years, till it broke and switched to some same old garbage and customly made it with components i found.
So where should i start for a budget pc? I cant really say how much money i can spend or anything... but here are the specs im looking for:
-Motherboard: 4 slots RAM (thats all i know and all i'd like i guess from a motherboard)
-GPU: AMD / Nvidia with 2GB DDR3 VRam(dont know anything else about GPUs except their memories. No other knowledge about GPUs)
-CPU: AMD. NO INTEL 4 cores or 6, but i think 4 would be enough. Ive seen by far the differences between those 2. I had a Intel pentium Dual Core 3GHz on my 7 years old pc that died, and now ive been using a AMD Single core Athlon 64 2GHz, and i could say i barely see a difference between FPS i had with the old one and this one.
4,6,8 GB ram DDR3, wouldnt matter,i can buy more as the time passes.
500W Source Power so it can handle the specs listed above.
That would be all i guess, i dont really care about the case. An HD audio card would be good, these 8 years old sound cards i had were good and still are. A DVD-RW would be nice

Now, how do i start, where do i go,where i am, who i am, how do i know whats good or bad?

Solution
Well yeah look around for parts on that website, put something together. Once again you can post here with a title "Rate my new build" or something and folk here will jump all over that with their suggestions and whatnot.

Lets just say there's no budget whatsoever. Im gonna buy each at a time i think. Im about to receive about 170$ from a project and the rest of the money for the pc are gonna be from parents which ill beg.But still it will take time for all that. So, how do i do it? 😀

Thank you for taking your time doing this :). But few things to mention.
1.Is intel better than AMD processors?... from far i know intel is more good for office work, movies, etc, and AMD is more good for gaming.
2.Lets say i dont need windows... lets just say it like that... perhaps i may have an original copy.. i may not 😀...
3.The case its hell of expensive *-*... i dont really care about the looks.
4.a 500 GB HDD would be enough, i still have the 8years old one, and i think it still work pretty darn good 😀.
5.Ill stick to only 4 gb ram for now.

Again thank you very much for helping me out :). I'll browse a lil bit hte website, i think there's a romanian version(my mother tongue) so i can get the infos better(tho the english doesnt trouble me, not that much). The only problem for me is that i dont know which (for example) 2gb GPU is better .. the blue one or yellow one(i hope u got my point).

AMD processors are inferior to 4th and 5th gen Intel chips in every way. You want an Intel chip especially when it comes to games. I recommend the GTX 960 because I own one and it's very good GPU for the price.

Also I'm pretty sure all Romanians are vampires, care to confirm?

How do i know which is 4th,5th gen Intel chip?
The GPU is also very expensive :O....i think i should stick to 1gb video maybe.. ;_;
Oh wait, i know why, its DDR5 not DDR3 ^^.

About the vampires... In some nights i like to go hunting for some bloody(literally) fresh meat. So i go to the supermarket and buy me some porkchops. But ofc i cant confirm that for everyone.
