How to bypass range extender

i have access to free wifi but lately, the connection gets interrupted and msftconnecttest.com/redirect flashes and takes me to the tplinkrepeater.net login page. I don't have a range extender. I do not have access to the wifi router. Is there anyway to bypass the extender and connect to the router directly?

Reset the router using small button underneath. Connect to router and login with manufacturers login info. Change settings as needed.

Only do that if you know what the settings are meant to be.
If you have no idea what the settings are, then don't do it!

The hotel across the street offers free wifi.

If all you can see is the range extender, then the actual router is too far to access. Or they don't want you to.

And the "hotel across the street" offers "free WiFi" to their customers. Not the whole town.
