Hi I have a belkin play max adsl modem and netgear wndr 4000. ( i used belkin previously for adsl internet, now i am on fiberoptic cable, terminated with RJ 45/ehternet at home.

I want to use the belkin play max adsl as secondary router, what i am more intrested is in the 2 usb port which the belkin has. I want to connet 2 external hard disk to them and 1 externa hard disk to the netgear modem/router and use the 3 storage devices seamlessly for data, hd movie streaming and songs and what not!! Please help on how i can set up this. Please note i am able to disable dhcp on belking and use the ethernet ports for connecting additional devices, but i am not able to use the 2 usb ports and storages connected through them.

Solution
Connect one of Belkin' LAN ports to a LAN port on the NetGear.
Configure Belkin with static IP address, disable DHCP. This way your Belkin will work as access point / switch / NAS server.

Thanks a lot it worked :),i tired it previously, but i had assigned a static ip of 192.168.2.1 for my belking (its default it) in my net grear. I changed the ip of belking to 192.168.1.100 and added a static entry ( 192.168.1.100) in netgear and every thing started working magically :)
