How to change 1360x768 to 1366x768 resolution?

Hi I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit, Processor: Intel Pentium Dual Core, E5300 @ 2.60Ghz & 2GB RAM.
Ok my current display resolution is 1360x768. But I want to fix it to 1366x768. Graphic Card is Intel GMA x3100, Chipset: Intel G33/G31. Memory: 256mb. Monitor: Generic PnP Monitor.
What can i do to change current resolution mode, 1360x768 to 1366x768?

Monitor - SyncMaster Samsung. It shows that 1360x768 is the recommended resolution!

I'm planning to upgrade to Windows 8. It recommends 1366x768 resolution for the best experience. Should i have to change my monitor that supports the recommended resolution?

I don't really think you need to do anything. Stay with 1360x768 resolution.

No he won't be able to. Read the thread again. His monitor does not support that resolution.

sir when i had a geforce 210 i set my res to 1080p
whereas my manufacturer states its native res to be 1600x900-

Okay let me rephrase. You might have been able to set it, but monitor was not able to display it. LCD monitors have one single resolution they may display, and no matter what resolution is set on your computer, it will display that. There's absolutely no reason to go above that native resolution, because it will only mean you're wasting your computer resources.
