Is it possible to change the Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter from b standard to n standard in the b/g/n mix?
My system is:
Samsung RV515 laptop
Windows 7 64 bit SP1
Qualcomm Atheros AR9285, Adapter Driver Ver. 10.0.0.285.
Device Manager Properties Advanced Tab shows:
802.11b Preamble - Long and Short
AdHoc 11n - Enable
Network Address - Not Present
Receive Buffers - 256
Scan Valid Interval - 60
Transmit Buffers - 512
I have tried:
Updating the driver
Rolling back the driver
Having Samsung Help Desk take a look at it. They remotely changed the AdHoc 11n setting to Enable from Disable which I had also tried. There is no change in the speed test between Enable or Disable.
Is it possible to change to the n standard (and verify the change)? Or, am I already on the n standard and just not smart enough to know I'm there?
Thank you VERY MUCH for any help.
Bart
