Question How to change Gmail password?

Hello

Here is my situation:
I have a gmail account that I only login with my backup Android phone.
I haven't used this gmail account for a long time and I forgot the password already.
while my phone still login to the gmail account but I am unable to change the password without being asked to login with the password.
I have tried to use the "forget password" but my phone didn't get the notification for reset.
Any suggestions?

when you click on gorget password it gives you option to choose. Either chose your mobile number on which you will recieve no. or backup emal.
