I installed Sublime text which changes the default icon which .txt and other files which Sublime opens. It's better than the default text icon appearance, but how do I modify/change this icon so that all these files have a slightly modified version of the "sublime text" icon? There should be a way to change this in the program I feel, for instance in /program files/sublime text/ but I can't see.

Hello Cowgoesmoo2

Many times it is the file association that is responsible for the icons, and changing the association of a file type to a different app changes the icon as well.

In your case, you can switch the file association back to Notepad by going to Start > Settings > Apps > Default apps > Choose default apps by file type.

Feel free to report back for any further assistance.

Cheers!! :)

Here is some info on how to change and edit icons. The site claims it is for Win 7 and Vista, but at least the changing works in Win 10 also. I haven't tried the editing in this site.
Long ago I used to edit icons in XP using third party tools. Googling "edit icon" was my way of finding the tools for it.
