I'm trying to have all my installations go on my HDD instead of my SSD on Windows 8, and, currently, my HDD is completely empty. If anyone can help out, thank you!

Solution
I`m lost for words on this one.

But as it goes, any program or game you install by clicking on the installer.
Gives you the option to select what drive you wish to install the content to, and the folder name you may wish to create for it.

The box where it shows you the drive, and install path can be changed in any install or setup.
Or there is a little tab to the right you click on, select the drive letter to install too.

A case of not to much attention paid, and clicking next or install to quick.

For any program already installed.

The other way copy, or cut and paste, the whole contents of the folder to the new drive.

Once copied.
Enter the folder and find the main execution files for the program or game.
EG: Winrar.exe - Hi...
Simple answer: DON'T

If you want to install software on the HDD, just do it when you run the installer. All software worth putting on your computer lets you pick. For your profile folders (My Documents, Pictures, Videos, etc), you can just right click and go to properties, then folder location.

There would be no use of SSD for programs if they where written on an HDD but for that you could change the path in every installation or you could change the system default installation path by this:
(notice:if you have a X64 version of windows you also should change ProgramFilesDir (x86)

1- Goto RUN by pressing Win key + R
2- type regedit
2- Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion
3- Change the Path in DWORDs ProgramFilesDir, ProgramFilesDir (x86) (if you have a X64 bit version of windows, otherwise there should be only ProgramFilesDir)
