How to change Nvidia Optimum FPS

Nvidia geforce experience uses optimum settings to achieve 30fps or more for the best graphics your system can run. How do I change this to 60fps? My laptop struggles at 1080p, so i changed all my games resolutions to 720p and geforce experience raised my graphics quality and sent me back down to 30-40fps.

Alternatively is there a program that lets you say what fps you want and then it adjusts your settings accordingly?

The wrench lets you change the resolution and performance/quality settings. But how do I change the optimum settings to achieve 60fps instead of 30fps? If I click 'optimize' it automatically adjusts my settings and gives me like 30 fps +, when I want 60fps +. The only way I know to raise my fps is to individually lower everything.

That's what the wrench icon is for! Just adjust that more towards the performance side of the bar and your FPS will go up!

EDIT: Wait, so if you put the setting all the way to performance and click optimize, it doesn't put on the lower settings?

Yeah unfortunately it doesn't say the frame rate. You'll have to experiment, test out different parts of the slide and see how that goes.

BTW...Adjusting your settings in game manually will yeld far better results, this is primarily because you can leave the graphics settings you like on and the ones you don't care for as much you can turn off (like MSAA).

Enable shadowplay, then in the shadowplay settings enable the frame rate counter. This will give you precise FPS that you can use to help get that desirable 60fps.

BTW...GeForce Experience is a one of a kind game optimization software, I'm thankful it even exists since it's pretty much the only game optimization program available.

I guess I'll have to just test out individual settings, I just hate not having everything optimized and green . But if I use optimization the settings sit me at 30-40fps. I found out before that running games at 720p instead of 1080p greatly helped my fps, so I lowered every game resolution to 720, thought now I'll have high fps in every game and geforce raised all the quality settings and pushed me back down again 🙁
