When I'm done with my PC build, I'm planning on installing Linux and in the meantime, gather the last bit of money for windows 7. But I'm unsure of how to uninstall Linux and put Windows without having to lose any data. Or should I just wait?
easiest way would be to back up all data to a second HDD.
personally i don't like having 2 operating systems on the same hdd.
but i find the easiest way to change form say ubuntu to Win7 to elementary os, to linux mint, to win 8, etc is to keep or back up your data to a second hdd. (i reinstal way to much lol) just don't for get to back up bookmarks, emails, etc too

Yeah I definitely agree - if you have a second HD or an external HD, you will definitely want to use that and back up all your data before installing Windows. Because you will have to do a full reformat.
