How to change read only files on usb

Hello,
Have a super media store usb picture download stick. Keeps coming up read only when I try to transfer pics to my laptop. Not a computer wizard, any help greatly appreciated.

Highlight all the pictures by pressing control + A buttons, then click right on one of photo click on properties and uncheck the box titled as read only.
