How To Change Where The New Content Is Saved In Your Windows 10 System



In Windows 10, you will notice the advanced personalization, security features along with the support for the universal applications. In this version of the operating system, the user interface is made very interactive. In addition to many features, in Windows 10, you have the option of changing the storage location of the new content that gets saved in your system. Here is how you change the storage location of the new content in your Windows 10 system.

Step 1
Single-click the Windows icon

Foremost, single-click the ‘Windows’ icon as shown below. You can also press the ‘Windows’ button on your keyboard to view the start-menu options.



Step 2
Click ‘Settings’ symbol

Now, you will find plenty of options as shown below. Choose the ‘Settings’ symbol to view the different settings of the Windows 10 system

Click the ‘System’ option

In the settings window, there will be settings for the system, devices, phone, apps, phone, Cortana, etc. Here select the ‘System’ option to view the system settings of the system.

In the ‘System’ settings option, you will find the sound, display, focus assist, battery, storage, multitasking, power & sleep, etc. Here, click the ‘Storage’ option to view the storage settings.

Click the ‘Change where new content is saved’ option

In the storage settings window, Single-click the ‘Change where new content is saved’ option as shown below to change the location of the new content storage.



Step 6

Click the ‘location’

Now in this window, you can select the ‘Location’ where you desire to store the new content. You can also select the location for new documents, music, movies, TV, etc.
