How to check/adjust RAM speed?

I have Kingston HyperX Genesis 2x4 GB 1600 MHz RAM and I was wondering how I might check what speed it is currently running at and, if necessary, how I might adjust that speed.

I have read that it's not uncommon for Windows to hold RAM to 1333 even if it's capable of faster speeds so I wanted to check. Thanks!

What motherboard using?
Try installing CPU-Z and check there the speed. For 1333 it would show 667 and for 1600 - 800.

Have you installed CPU-Z http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html and checked the memory?
