Ive amd fx6300 i want to know how can i check my cpu temperature ive installed rivatuner, msi afterburner.

Im playing AC IV at 720p maxed with msaa 2x 29-40fps and with msaa4x 20-30 fps.
Is it my cpu bottlenecking?

4gb simtronics ram
Ga-78lmt-s2 motherboard
Gpu- r9 270x
Psu- corsair vs550
Cpu cooler is stock
AMd drivers- beta 15.3

You can use HWMonitor to check temperature, fan speeds and voltages.

AMD Overdrive has an inbuilt stability tests which should check whether or not your CPU is overheating on load.

And to check whether or not your CPU is bottlenecking, keep the settings you are normally using and pick a lower resolution. (some graphical settings are CPU-Intensive)
If your FPS remains the same then it's a CPU bottleneck, but if FPS improves then the GPU is likely holding your system back.

You mentioned that you're playing at 720P and you're having awful framerates, and you're concerned that your CPU might be bottlenecking your card.

To check if the CPU is a bottleneck, with your current graphics settings enabled, in your game change the resolution to the lowest you can go without changing anything else. (Something along the lines of 800x600?), RUn the game and check the FPS you're getting and compare it to your 720P FPS.

If your FPS improves it's the GPU holding your framerates back.
If FPS remains the same it's a CPU holding your framerates back.

Something seems very odd here, your card (Rebranded, overclock 7870) should perform much better at 720P than it currently is right now, has it always been like this?, and is the GPU throttling?

I'm stumped.

(To add, my ISP has now just throttled my connection to a painful speed and now everything takes 5 long minutes to load, I hope somebody takes the baton from here.)
