You need to visit the device manager, which will be friendly enough to show you what's installed and what's not
In Windows 7, right-click Computer in the start menu and select "Properties," then in the window that comes up select "Device Manager"
In Windows 8, move mouse pointer to the lower right hand corner and right-click, a menu of options should come up including Device Manager
or search on the start screen for "device manager"
Look for anything under "Other devices;" these will need drivers. Also if "Display adapters" is a generic Windows "Standard VGA adapter" that needs to be updated with the proper driver for your video chip. Also update sound driver from the basic windows sound driver.
