[SOLVED] How to Check for "Shadow Image" on Monitor Purchase

I heard one thing people look for when inspecting a new monitor they bought for dead pixels or other problems is something called a "shadow image" on the screen. How can I check for that?

Shadows, dead pixels...don't stress so much over a monitor you don't yet have.

Get it, plug it in.
If there are any visible issues, then get it replaced.

And please don't start another thread on this monitor you do not yet own.
