Hello,

I have purchased two PNY XLR8 16GB DDR4 3200MHz Desktop rams The rams are showing unknown manufacture and no serial numbers in BIOS. Please see the attached screenshots below from BIOS and CPU-Z.

Are these rams fake or counterfeit?

Thank you

Thank you, I have updated the BIOS to latest version but still same issue.

Another thing:

  1. part number also does not match which is mentioned in the PNY website: https://www.pny.com.tw/en/products-detail/XLR8-DDR4-3200MHz-Desktop-Memory-Single-Channel/
  2. CPU-Z shows Module manufacturer is PNY Electronics but PNY full name is not PNY Electronics, they are PNY Technologies.

The above things are making me feeling that I purchased counterfeit rams :-(

Does the ram work?
Does it run at it's rated speed and not give errors?
If so don't worry about names.
