I have a laptop and I want to know if my ram is x16 or x8 without opening it because doing that will void my warranty.

RAM is not measured that way. Not sure what aspect of RAM you are trying to understand, but CPUz software can tell you evdrything about your RAM.

The Part Number is what you want look up. And looking that up gives me parts that the label says is a 1Rx8

The datasheet also says it uses a 4x4 bank grouping, which Notebookcheck said is the better one.
