To choose what Windows will do everytime we insert a memory card or sync our phone or even plug in a removable drive is very useful to save time and clicks. These simple steps on this tutorial will help you configure Windows Autoplay function and choose what you want it to do every time. Read on and never lose time or unnecessary clicks again.
Open the “AutoPlay Settings” menu
Simply write the words “AutoPlay settings” on the search bar of your start menu and click on the best matching option.
AutoPlay Settings Will Appear
Auto play settings will appear on your windows 10 screen.
Choose the desired option from the drop-down menu
Click on the down arrow at the right side of the drop-down menu box under the “removable drive” title and from the options, choose the one that suits you the best.
Choose the option for “Memory Card”
The second drop-down menu under the title “Memory card” will have different options for you to choose for. Once again, choose the one that suits you the most.
Turn off AutoPlay
In the event that you want Windows 10 to do nothing whenever you plug in any device to your computer, you can simply turn the AutoPlay off sliding the option on the top of the menu to your left.
These are the default options you will get with Windows 10 but the more devices you plug to your computer, the more devices will appear in the list including phones, tablets, etc.
